A heirloom portrait is an original print that I change into a portrait that will become a keepsake to be passed down from generation to generation. One of my heirloom creations is created by using a hand tinting process. To do this, I use a black and white print or a sepia tone print and enhance the image via hand applied altering techniques. A colored print can also be created into an oil painting by using a digital technique. Any of these portraits can then be printed on fine canvas or your custom portrait can be mounted and framed in such a way that it will truly be a work of contemporary art.
Images are the only way to truly remember a time in our personal history and link us through the generations. The photographer is more invested in the image than anyone viewing it. An image that is poorly executed will not be worth as much as one that is done well. It is the photographer’s skill, knowledge and experience that caught those intangibles that provoke the reactions. A Master Photographer will do that for you. How do you want to be remembered by your great grandchildren?
As a Master Photographer I focus on capturing high quality images and preserve those images with high quality printing. As a Master Photographer I bypass the low cost volume “snapshot” printing providers and work only with a custom lab. Working with a custom lab my post processing software is calibrated with theirs assuring the delivery of heirloom quality images.
As a Master Photographer I bring value in other ways also. These are just a few examples. While it does cost more to hire a Master Photographer vs. a friend or relative with a digital camera, I bring far greater value and quality to the end product. As the old saying goes “you get what you pay for”. When you hire a Master Photographer you are not just hiring someone who purchased a nice camera! You are hiring someone who has studied, practiced and developed the artistic and technical skills required to make an image exceptional. A Master Photographer knows how to make you look your best, put you at ease and document your memories in an eye-catching, artistic way!
There is an additional cost for Heirloom Custom Prints.
Capturing a memory in portrait is the most valuable possession you can own. These memories you will hold dear both in times of sorrow and in times of happiness.
